How Stock Research Portal Blog handles data: a static site with no accounts, forms or cookies, and how we treat email correspondence.

The site collects very little, so this policy is short. It describes what personal information is involved when you use Stock Research Portal Blog and what we do with it, and it matches how the site works today.
Scope
This policy covers this website and the email correspondence you may choose to send us. It does not cover other websites that we link to. For an overview of who runs the site and what it covers, see the About page.
What data is involved and where it goes
The site is a static website built with Astro. It has no user accounts, no forms and no comment system, so reading it does not require you to give us any personal information. Data is involved in four situations, shown in the figure and table below.

Cookies and local storage
The site itself sets no cookies. We do not use advertising or tracking, and the site does not use your browser’s local storage or similar mechanisms to remember you. The pages load no third-party web fonts or advertising scripts. The one script they load is a self-hosted Umami analytics script, described below.
We use a self-hosted instance of Umami for cookie-free, anonymous visit statistics, such as which pages are read. It sets no cookies and does not build profiles of individual readers.
Site search
Site search runs in your browser. When you open search, your browser downloads a search index that is served from this site, and matching happens locally on your device. Your search terms are not sent to a third-party search service, and we do not receive them.
Email you send us
You can reach us by email, using the address on our Contact page. If you do, we receive your email address and whatever you include in the message, such as a question about a source or a suggested correction.
We use that information to read and answer your message and to handle any follow-up. We keep the correspondence only as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up. We do not sell it, and we do not pass your message on to others as a sales lead. If a message concerns a factual error, we may describe the issue in a published correction, but we will not publish your name or email address without asking you first. Hosting and security logs
The hosting or content delivery provider that serves the site may process technical data, such as your IP address and request logs, to deliver pages and to keep the site secure. This happens in the background whenever you load a page, as it does on almost any website. The provider’s own practices govern how it handles that data.
Links to other sites
Our articles link to outside sources such as government agencies, regulators, standards bodies, companies and associations. The data sources page lists many of them. Those sites have their own privacy practices, and this policy does not cover them. When you follow a link, you leave this site.
The site does not embed content from other services, such as videos, social media widgets or maps, so loading a page here does not by itself connect you to those services.
Children
The site is a research resource for business readers and is not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has sent us personal information by email, let us know through the Contact page and we will consider a request to delete it.
Your choices and requests
You can read the site without giving us anything. If you have emailed us, you may ask what correspondence we hold from you, or ask us to delete it, by writing through the Contact page. We will consider your request and respond to it. You can also ask us a question about this policy in the same way. Because the site has no accounts, we have nothing else to access or remove other than email correspondence.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the site works in a way that affects this policy, for example by adding new tracking features, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Check the date when you return. The Terms and Disclaimer page has its own date and is updated separately.
